Check WorkKeys Status before Starting Assessments

Dear WorkKeys Users,

This WorkKeys Notice contains the following information about a new WorkKeys Internet Version system status page and the current status of the WorkKeys system:

System status page access

You may access the WorkKeys Internet Version system status page at all of the following locations:

· (the WorkKeys Reference site home page)

· (the Administrator Resources page, which is where the WorkKeys Testing Irregularity Report is located)

Explanation of status options
The status page shows the current status of the WorkKeys Internet Version system.  The three status options include:

GREEN:      The ACT WorkKeys Internet Version system is available for your use.  The application is running without issues.

YELLOW:   The ACT WorkKeys Internet Version system is available, but ACT is aware that irregularities in performance may exist.  Some users may be experiencing issues such as difficulties with logins or slow response times, but many users are still able to test.

RED:            The ACT WorkKeys Internet Version system is currently unavailable.  The system is offline while a resolution is found.  An estimated downtime will be provided.

System status communication

ACT will no longer send WorkKeys Notice email messages regarding system status.  Instead, status information will be communicated on the system status page.  If you experience problems with the WorkKeys Internet Version system, please check the status page before contacting ACT.  In addition, please remember to submit a WorkKeys Testing Irregularity Report if your examinees are impacted by a system problem or other irregularity.

WorkKeys system status update

ACT’s IT staff has worked tirelessly in recent weeks to isolate the specifics of the recent brief interruptions to the WorkKeys system.  Testing has concluded, and two root causes have been isolated.  We have implemented changes to address both, and we have not had a single connectivity interruption since mid-January. 
ACT will not invoice customers for incomplete assessments affected by these connectivity issues.  Invoicing adjustments will be explained by email to affected sites.

We apologize for the inconvenience these technical issues caused you and your examinees. We sincerely appreciated your patience and understanding as we worked to resolve the issues.
