OKCRC with RegiSTAR™ Updates

  1. In April 2012, the Governor’s Council for Workforce and Economic Development voted to move the OKCRC to utilizing the ACT national RegiSTAR™ identification system.  The target date to move to ACT’s national RegiSTAR ID system is August 20, 2012. The OKCRC with the national RegiSTAR number will be recognized by industry associations including the National Association of Manufacturers, the National Center for Construction Education and Research, and the Center for Energy Workforce Development.  Credentialed individuals may create an account at http://www.myworkkeys.com to create and share their Certificate electronically for free and allow employers to verify Certificate details.
  2. Oklahoma’s CRC Workplace Readiness Instruction of Soft Skills (+) portion of the OKCRC+ will expire when the OKCRCs begin issuing CRCs utilizing the ACT national RegiSTAR number. ACT does not allow display of additional endorsements or trainings on certificates with the national RegiSTAR number.
  3. CRC Site Administrator Agreements will be emailed to CRC site administrators in August 2012.  CRC site administrators will continue to upload WorkKeys® score results to the CRC Statewide Database for issuance of the OKCRC.
  4. OKCRC Wallet Cards are available for purchase by assessment sites starting when the OKCRC moves to RegiSTAR(target date of August 20)  at a cost of $2 each. Assessment sites issue a purchase order to the Department of CareerTech for the estimated CRC wallet card amount for FY13 (through June 30, 2013).  Submit to Debbi Butterfield, Finance Division, Dept. of CareerTech, 1500 W. 7th Avenue, Stillwater, OK  74074.  CRC wallet cards will not be issued until a purchase order has been received in Finance.  Assessment sites will be invoiced monthly unless accumulated monthly activity is less than $50.  In this case, an invoice will be issued when $50 is reached.  Payment is to be made to Dept. of CareerTech upon receipt of the invoice.
